Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 mark the return of two main characters to the franchises. Kareena Kapoor reprises her role as Singham's ( Ajay Devgn ) love interest in the upcoming threequel. The duo's pairing after the 2014 release Singham Returns has stoked interest. Ajay and Kareena have previously worked together in Satyagraha, Omkara, Singham Returns and the Golmaal franchise and fans love their chemistry. This is one more reason for them to watch Singham Again on the big screens.

Interestingly, Kareena's character in Rohit Shetty's copverse is called Avni. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which marks the return of Vidya Balan to the fold after she opted out of the Kartik Aaryan-fronted sequel, the actress essays the role of Avni. The similarity of the leading actresses' character names in both franchises is something that many won't be able to recollect.

What Vidya said about opting out of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Vidya Balan recently shared that she rejected the offer to star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as she feared that if she didn’t perform well in the sequel, it would ruin the impact of her work in the original movie.

Vidya starred alongside Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan's 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa, playing the role of Avni/Manjulika. Fifteen years later, its sequel, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead, was released and became a huge blockbuster at the box office. "I was so scared because Bhool Bhulaiyaa has given me so much. So I said, if I did something wrong, then everything will go in vain (sab par paani fir jayega). I told Anees ji that ‘I can't take this risk,’” the actress shared.
