In an old video now doing rounds on social media, Jaya Bachchan could be heard calling Aishwarya Rai her ‘buddy’. The video is going viral after several media reports claimed that the Dhoom 2 actress has parted ways with her husband and is living separately from his family. While none of the family members have confirmed the news, social media users have dug out old videos of Jaya claiming that she could be direct with her daughter-in-law and does not need to act diplomatically with her.

In an old interview with Reddif, Jaya Bachchan shared, “She is my buddy. If I don’t like something about her, I tell it to her face. I don’t do politics behind her back. If she disagrees with me, she expresses herself. The only difference is that I can be a little more dramatic and she has to be more respectful." The video has now resurfaced online.
