Who is Chrisann Pereira?
Chrisann, before making her acting debut, began her journey as a theater artist. She has performed in various Hindi plays such as Three Women, The Drum Roll, A Fistful of Rupees, and Innocence among others. In 2019, Chrisann made her acting debut in the Hindi film Batla House, where she portrayed the character of Nandita's parlour friend. Her performance caught the attention of filmmakers, leading to another significant role in the film Sadak 2, where she played the role of Naina Das.

She also made her presence felt in the digital space, marking her Hindi web debut with MX Player's series Thinkistan. She portrayed the role of Kavita. In 2022, Chrisann was seen in the Amazon Mini TV series Murder in Agonda.
Apart from acting, Chrisann dabbled in the music industry, featuring in a few Hindi music videos like Haaye Pina Colada Blues 2022 by Yash Narvekar and Where The Winds Blow 2023 by Sagar Varma. She has also worked as a model for various print and photo shoots.

What's Chrisann Pereira's legal ordeal?
Chrisann, in April 2023, was apprehended by UAE Police on charges of drug trafficking. She was accused of being involved in an international drug racket led by the Indian absconding gangster, Ravi Rattesar. After the arrest, she was taken to the Sharjah Central Jail, and the Indian Consulate was notified about the situation.
After four month long investigation, on Thursday (August 3), Chrisann Pereira returned to India. She was released from Sharjah jail on Wednesday night after the Mumbai Crime Branch confirmed her innocence.
