Yaariyan 2 Trailer: Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri, Pearl V Puri navigate relationships

Yaariyan 2, starring Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pearl V Puri, will make its theatrical debut on October 20. Ahead of its release, the makers revealed the trailer of the film. The movie is a coming-of-age comedy-drama that will seemingly narrate the lives of three cousins.

Yaariyan 2 to showcase sibling bond 

Three cousins' life, their relationship, and their love lives are shown in the over 3-minute-long trailer of Yaariyan 2. It opens with Ladli (Khosla Kumar) seeking a husband and finally marrying a man (Yash Dasgupta). Puri is portrayed as a devotee Bajju, while Jafri portrays the role of Shikhar, who is daring and unafraid to go after what he wants. 

Ladli, Shikhar and Bajju, the three cousins, and their love-hate relationship are central to the narrative. Additionally, it reveals the trio's complicated love sagas. While Yaariyan 2 is a sequel to the 2014 film, the new movie is just a spiritual addition to the franchise. The stories of the two movies do not relate to each other.

The team behind Yaariyan 2

The upcoming film is directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao. The directors previously collaborated to direct Sanam Teri Kasam and Lucky: No Time for Love. Yaariyan 2 will release under the banner of T-Series Films and Rao & Sapru Films Production and is supported by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Aayush Maheshwari. The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on October 20 on Dussehra.

It will compete with Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas and Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath: A Hero Is Born at the box office. Kangana will play an Indian Air Force pilot in Tejas, while Ganapath is a dystopian actioner that will be released in two parts.
