Adele reveals she quit alcohol, says she was 'borderline alcoholic' in her 20s

Adele has been frank about various occurrences and experiences in her life, including her fight with drinking. The singer recently shared that she has attained sobriety and revealed how tedious it has been to get to this point given how drunk she used to be. Performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palacein Las Vegas, Adele said: “I stopped drinking maybe like three-and-a-half months ago."

Adele said during her Las Vegas musical performance that she had given up drinking alcohol and joked about being jealous of a fan who was drinking a whisky sour. "Cheers to that," the Rolling in the Deep hitmaker quipped to an attendee in the lottery seats who was drinking a pint of the drink. "You know, I stopped drinking quite a long time ago," she continued.

She then cut herself off to make a joke. "I just realised my chicken fillets moved out of place and it looks like I've got three boobs," she said, eliciting laughter from the audience. Adele then went on to say, "I stopped drinking, feels like forever, maybe three and a half months ago." "I was literally borderline alcoholic for quite a lot of my 20s," the songwriter admitted, "but I miss it so much."

Adele also admitted to eliminating coffee from her diet. "So, sip your whisky sour." "I'm extremely envious," Adele concluded.
