Singer Adnan Sami's mother, Begum Naureen Sami Khan, has died at the age of 77. On Monday, October 7, Adnan shared the sad news with his fans on his social media accounts. The post mentions Sami's grief at losing his mother. The reason behind her passing has not been disclosed.

Tera Chehra singer expressed his sorrow over her death on his official Instagram and X accounts. He posted a photo of his mother, including her name, year of birth, and year of passing. 

In an emotional note, he wrote, "It's with the greatest sadness & infinite sorrow that I announce the demise of our beloved Mother Begum Naureen Sami Khan... We are overtaken by profound grief. She was an incredible lady who shared love & joy with everyone she touched. We will miss her immensely. Kindly say a prayer for her departed soul. May Allah SWT bless our dearest Mother in Jannat-ul-Firdaus...Ameen....".

Fans and friends shared condolence

After the singer announced the heartbreaking news, his fans and fellow stars expressed their condolences in the comments. Actress Mini Mathur wrote in comments, “Dear Adnan, Roya, and Madina, I am very sad about the death of your mother. I pray that your family finds the strength to cope with this grief, and may your mother rest in heaven.” Singer Raghav also shared his thoughts, saying, “May Allah give her the best place in heaven. There is no greater pain than losing a mother. May Allah grant you the strength to bear this loss.”

Adnan Sami was born in London on August 15, 1971, where he spent his childhood. His father, Arshad Sami Khan, hailed from a Pashtun background in Afghanistan, Pakistan , while his mother, Naureen Khan, originated from Jammu. Adnan’s father served as a pilot in the Pakistan Air Force and later took on significant roles in government, including acting as Pakistan's ambassador to 14 nations.
