Akshay Kumar celebrates Diwali with Indian Army as he shoots for Sky Force

The nation celebrated the festival of Diwali on Sunday. While most of us were accompanied by our friends and family for the occasion, Akshay Kumar chose to spend the day with the Indian army. The actor witnessed and participated in various demonstrations shown by the soldiers. He also talked about his personal connection with the Indian army.

This Diwali, Akshay is dedicated to honouring the courage and valour of the Indian Army. As per IANS, the actor said, “I am very excited to be here. My father was a soldier in the army, so my heart since childhood is connected to the army. Seeing the uniform makes me proud and I am honoured to be here.”
Akshay also witnessed demonstrations of different techniques employed by the army, including the water plume technique, various ied techniques, and combat engineer activities such as bridge construction, helipad construction, and demolition. The Housefull star, with his characteristic zest, actively asked questions and absorbed insights into the challenges faced by the army in safeguarding the nation.
During his interactions with the jawans, Akshay expressed his excitement about being part of the episode and conveyed his deep connection to the army.

What’s next for Akshay Kumar?
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapoor’s Sky Force. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik, the flick will release in cinemas on October 2, 2024.
Moreover, the actor’s first look from Singham Again was released on social media earlier this month. Rohit Shetty has created a cop universe in Bollywood with three of his major films – Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi, starring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar, respectively. The narratives and arcs of each film will now bleed into each other extending the cop universe.

In addition to this, Akshay also will be part of films like Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, an untitled remake of Soorarai Pottru, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Hera Pheri 3 and Shankara.
