Dwayne Johnson addresses botched wax figure issue

Dwayne took to his Instagram handle on Monday and shared a video of comedian James Andre Jefferson talking about the wax figure and wrote in the caption, “I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshair.”

The actor further added that he will be in contact with the Grevin Museum to change the skin colour of his statue. He said, “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France 🇫🇷 so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin colour.”

The Rock was born in California to a Samoan mother and a black Nova Scotian father. Wayde Douglas Bowles, his father, was a wrestler who competed under the ring name Rocky Johnson and was a member of the first black tag team to capture a WWE championship. The wax figure was unveiled at the museum in Paris on October 16; according to the website, the sculpture was made by artist Stéphane Barret using images and video recordings.
