KT Rama Rao Slaps Legal Notice To Congress Minister Over Samantha-Chaitanya's Divorce Comments

Congress Minister Konda Surekha, on Wednesday, alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), working president KT Rama Rao, was behind Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s divorce. Soon after her comments went viral, Telugu stars Nagarjuna, Chaitanya and Samantha blasted the minister for spreading “baseless” and “ridiculous” rumours. In the latest development, it has been reported that KT Rama Rao has sent a legal notice and asked Konda Surekha to apologise publicly.

‘Konda Surekha is using her name for political purposes’

Taking to his X, KTR shared the copy of the documents sent to Surekha and stated that she used the former couple’s name with the aim of “tarnishing” his image. In the notice, Surekha has been asked to withdraw her statements made against KTR and to “tender an unconditional public apology” to KTR for tarnishing his reputation with her “malicious and defamatory acts” within 24 hours.

KTR’s advocate issued a warning, “Should you fail to comply with our client’s demands as stated within 24 hours from receipt of this notice, our client will be constrained to initiate necessary and appropriate legal action against you.” Sharing the legal notice, KTR wrote, “Served legal notices to the Minister; Disgusting & Nauseating politics by Congress . Request 
@RahulGandhi to send your Minister & CM to a mental health specialist or a rehabilitation therapist.”

What did Konda Sureka say about Chaitanya and Samantha's divorce?

In a video going viral on the internet, Konda Surekha can be heard saying, "KTR is the reason why Naga Chaitanya and Samantha broke up in the first place. He has the habit of exploiting women and even heroines. He has gotten several heroines addicted to drugs. He even tapped their phones to get personal information. Doesn’t he have a mother, sister, and wife at home? Why doesn’t he respect and value women.”

How did Nagarjuna react?

Taking to his X handle, Nagarjuna penned a note slamming the Telangana Minister and asked her not to use the lives of actors who stay away from politics. He asked her to respect other people's privacy and requested her to withdraw her comments against his family. He wrote in Telugu which we loosely translated to English, "I strongly condemn the comments of the Honorable Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. Don't use the lives of movie stars who stay away from politics to criticize your opponents. Please respect other people's privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately."
