Malaika Arora, who is constantly in the spotlight because of her passion for physical fitness and her relationship with Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, has once again made headlines for her current relationship status. The couple who has been dating for a while now seems to have parted ways.

The world recently celebrated the arrival of the New Year. Several Bollywood celebrities were seen spending the last days of their year with their significant others, and a lot of them were spotted leaving the bay for their overseas vacation. Amid this, Malaika and Arjun kept their New Year plans secret. 

The couple, who are always seen enjoying their time together on special occasions and sharing it on social media, spent the holiday season separately. Malaika celebrated Christmas with her son Arhaan Khan, while Arjun was on an overseas trip with his sister Anshula Kapoor. The fans were also quick to notice the couple’s absence in each other’s Instagram posts during the entire holiday season, sparking their breakup rumours. 

Malaika Arora-Arjun Kapoor’s cryptic statements about their relationship 

This is not the first time Arjun and Malaika have been reported as taking a break from their relationship. A few days ago, during her appearance on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Farah Khan was seen asking Malaika about the possibility of her tying the knot in 2024. To this, the actress said, "Agar koi hai toh usse main shaadi karungi. Koi bhi poochega to main shaadi karlungi." This loosely translates to, "If there's someone I will marry him. If anyone will ask me for marriage, I will marry."

Arjun also talked about taking a break from his relationship in his recent chat show appearance. The actor was asked about "taking a break from a relationship when things aren't going too well". To this, Arjun agreed and said, “Why not?” His response hinted that he had taken a break from his relationship with Malaika. 

A few months ago, two cryptic social media posts of the actor went viral, in which he could be seen spending alone time. In one of the posts, he was seen enjoying a pool session and captioned it as, "Cooling off before things heat up…"

Not just this, even Malaika was seen spending some time alone busy vacationing at an undisclosed location. Apart from the posts, the couple's outings together have noticeably reduced as it appears that they have decided to keep their affair low profile.
