Met Gala 2024: Alia Bhatt Opts For Nine Yards Of Elegance, Drops First Photo Of Her Look

Alia Bhatt made her MET Gala debut in 2023. The actress walked the red carpet again this year. She shared first photo of her look on her social media.

Alia Bhatt is among the few Indians who will attend the MET Gala 2024. This marks the actress's second appearance the the fashion event. The Raazi actress made her MET Gala debut in 2024 in a Prabal Gurung outfit.

Alia Bhatt is MET-ready 

Alia Bhatt kept the news of her attending the MET gala a secret from her fans and followers. On the day of the event, May 6, the actress took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself before the gala. Sharing the photo of a silhouette, Alia wrote in the caption, “Met set go 🕰️🌷”.

Alia Bhatt walked the red carpet in a blue net saree crafted by Sabyasachi Mukerji. The saree carried an intricate floral design, paying homage to the theme of the Garden Of Time. She accessorised the look with golden accessories including headbands and statement bracelets.

Other Indians at MET Gala 2024 

Alia was not the only Indian at the MET Gala this year. Apart from the actress, the Reliance Retail director Isha Ambani and philanthropist-entrepreneur Natasha Poonawalla also walked the coveted red carpet. On May 6, Anaita Shroff took to her Instagram account to share the red carpet look for Isha Ambani at the MET Gala 2024. Explaining Isha’s look the stylist wrote in the caption, “Isha is wearing a bespoke hand-embroidered couture sari gown from Indian designer Rahul Mishra.“ She further shared that the outfit took 10,000 hours.

Natasha Poonawalla, too attended the MET Gala this year. Reimaging the theme - Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, she donned an intriguing outfit for the evening. sharing her look, Natasha wrote in the caption, “Sleeping Beauty Met Day!!! I couldn’t think of anything better than this Viktor and Rolf piece from their AW2018 collection to honour the opening of The Met’s latest exhibition; resuscitating iconic fashion and honouring legendary mastery in craft and design. Excited to be celebrating The Costume Institute later today.!” She bleached her hair to a lighter colour and teamed her outfit with a sheer cape with floral motifs to keep up with the theme of The Garden Of Time.
