Parle-G recently shared a tweaked version of their age-old packaging to their official Instagram handle. The glaring difference in the packaging was that the iconic girl mascot had been replaced with the face of influencer Zervaan J Bunshah. It is worth noting however, that the alleged switch in question has been made as a part of ongoing internet banter between Bunshah and the biscuit brand's official Instagram handle.
Parle-G switches its mascot
The impromptu post shared by Parle-G was missing the logo carrying the rather familiar girl mascot. Replacing her, was the face of influencer Zervaan Bunshah. For the unversed, banter between Bunshah and Parle-G began with a now viral reel shared by the former wherein he humourously muses on whether one is to refer to the owner of Parle-G as Parle sir, Mr. Parle or Parle G.
The reel has over half a million views and counting to its credit and happened to catch the attention of Parle-G's official Instagram handle who hilariously commented, "Bunshah ji, you can call us the OG". Shortly after, the brand took to their account to share the tweaked packaging - a mere joke and not an actual change - with the caption, "While you figure out what to call the owner of Parle-G, you can call us your favourite biscuit to enjoy with a cup of chai What say @bunshah ji?'
Zervaan Bunshah reacts to the gesture
Zervaan Bunshah was evidently elated at the gesture by Parle-G, sharing a screen grab of the same as a post on his Instagram handle.

The accompanying caption saw him express his excitement as he went on to crack yet another joke alluding how the Parle-G girl (mascot) grew up to become him.
