Ram Pothineni shares his lean look for Double iSmart after bulking up for Skanda | Photo

Ram Pothineni has had a packed 2023 in terms of work. The actor was last seen in Telugu film Skanda: The Attacker, which released in theatres, late September this year. The actor has also been involved in two projects slated for a release next year. The first of the two happens to be Puri Jagannadh's Double iSmart.

Ram Pothineni shares lean look for Puri Jagannadh's Double iSmart

Ram Pothineni will be reprising his role of Shankar (Arun) from 2019 Telugu release iSmart Shankar - written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. As part of the second installment of the film, the actor is evidently required to sport a lean look, a physique Pothineni appears to be well on his way to achieve. The actor took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of his progress in this regard.

The picture, which cuts out his face drawing attention to the six-pack abs in the making, is captioned, "I'm back!" followed by "-USTAAD#DOUBLEISMART SHANKAR". It must be noted that the physique is quite the deviation from what he sported in Skanda which was a significantly more bulked up avatar. Double iSmart is slated for a theatrical release on March 8.

Double iSmart will be a big release for Puri Jagannadh

Puri Jagannadh's last directorial venture, was Liger, which released in 2022. The film, which was Vijay Deverakonda's launch pad into Bollywood and leading lady Ananya Panday's first official tryst with the Telugu audience turned out to be a massive box office flop. 

Even the extensive multi-city promotions could not save the film from its fate. Liger was directed, written an produced by Puri Jagannadh. Double iSmart also has Puri Jagannadh credited for the same.
