3 Idiots released in theatres on the occasion of Christmas, back in 2009. The film easily finds its name in the list of the most genre-defining films from Bollywood's contemporary era. Though Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi stole the show as they led the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, supporting characters - namely, Boman Irani, Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya and even Mona Singh, too added quirks to their characters which upped the film's charm. Also a contributor in this regard, is Rahul Kumar, who played the role of Millimetre.
Off late a picture of a fairly unknown boy standing along side Rajkumar Hirani, has been doing the rounds of the internet. The picture in question is from the special screening of the director's latest release, Dunki, which hit screens in December of 2023. The caption to the post, penned by Rahul Kumar, shares how though he had shot for a scene in the film, it failed to make the final cut of the same.
Regardless, he was more than happy to show his support for the movie. Dunki however, is not Rahul Kumar's first big collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Kumar has been directed by the filmmaker, way back in 2009 - namely, for 3 Idiots. Even after more than a decade, Hirani and Kumar are very evidently in touch with Hirani still up for casting the actor.
While 3 Idiots may have been his biggest role, Rahul Kumar is still pursuing his passion of acting. Kumar has featured in a handful of advertisements for leading brands. Also a parallel passion of his, is playing the guitar in tow with singing.
A quick scroll through his Instagram handle will reveal several covers of songs which have been shared by him.
