Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger lands in India to attend England vs Pakistan World Cup match

Mick Jagger was snapped at the Kolkata airport as he reached the city to cheer his home country England in their upcoming cricket match.

The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger arrived in India on Friday evening. The singer was snapped at the Kolkata airport as he reached the city to cheer his home country England in their upcoming cricket match. The World Cup game will take place at the Eden Gardens on Saturday, where England will face Pakistan’s cricket team. 

Mick Jagger to cheer the England cricket team 

During his time in Kolkata, Jagger will be staying at the ITC Royal Bengal on the EM Bypass. The 80-year-old rock star is attending the game at the stadium but will not be performing. 

A few days ago, Jagger was spotted at the Rajmata Krishna Kumari School in Jodhpur. It is thought that he is in India for the yearly Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Jodhpur RIFF) at the Mehrangarh Fort. The singer is one of the festival's international patrons.

Mick Jagger’s reunion with The Rolling Stones 

On the work front, Mick Jagger released an album with The Rolling Stones titled Hackney Diamonds. It is the band’s first studio set of new material in 18 years since 2005's A Bigger Bang. Since then, they have continued to smash box office records on a series of global sell-out tours and released 2016's Grammy-winning Blue & Lonesome, which featured their versions of many of the blues tracks that helped shape their sound, and topped album charts around the world.

They’re considered one the greatest bands along with legends like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Pantera, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Queen, Guns N' Roses, and Led Zeppelin.
