Shruti Haasan admits being in a ‘chaotic’ relationship once: I was like this toxic thing is so tasty

Shruti Haasan is currently in a relationship with her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika, who she has been living with for the last three years. In a new interview, the actress admitted to once being in a relationship that was toxic and chaotic. She even opened up about her own toxic traits and shortcomings. 

Shruti Haasan opens up about her past toxic relationship 

In a new interview with YouTube channel Untriggered with Aminjaz, Shruti Haasan opened up about her past relationships and the struggles she had to go through. She recalled, “I was in one spiralling relationship for a long time. I thought my head was on my bum because it was so chaotic. Being a singer, and songwriter, I was like this toxic thing is so tasty. Now, I am self-sufficient in my music. I can create the chaos with myself, put it in a box and put it away and have a lovely relationship with my boyfriend, with our cat in our house.” 

She also spoke about her toxic traits. She shared, “Sometimes I go like far into the ‘I am a missfit who doesn’t belong and that is a toxic trait I have but you shouldn’t carry that when you are on a set. Even Shantanu has that trait and we both are like, ‘Look at us alone, weird,’ but that’s how toxic we get.”

Shruti Haasan reveals how she met her boyfriend 

In the same conversation, Shruti Haasan also spoke about her first meeting with her boyfriend Shantanu. She revealed, “I am working on my poetry book and Shantanu is doing the artwork for that. That’s how we met. Once, I sent him my poem and he sent an artwork in response. He slid into my DMs with Meshuggah, which is an extreme metal band that many don’t know about. I posted something about the band and he slid into my DM with lyrics of a song from the band and I was like, ‘Hmm interesting.’ Then we started talking. I sent him my poem and he responded with an elaborate artwork.“
