However, the couple took to their social media handle to rubbish the rumours of them secretly getting married.

On the festive occasion of Christmas, Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, treated fans to an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit. While sharing insights into his personal experiences with various celebrities, Orry's revelations about Shruti Haasan stirred up a buzz, hinting at a possible secret marriage to her long-time boyfriend, Santanu Hazarika.

During the Reddit AMA, a fan asked Orry about encounters with celebrities displaying unnecessary attitude during photo sessions. He shared his experience with Haasan, recalling an incident where she was "very rude" at an event he had arranged for her. Orry clarified that the rudeness wasn't related to a photo session as he had never asked her for one.

What caught everyone's attention was Orry's unexpected reference to Santanu as "her husband" while discussing the incident involving the actress. Orry's revelation has sparked rumours suggesting that Shruti Haasan might have secretly tied the knot with Shantanu Hazarika.

Shruti Haasan and Santanu's clarification

After the rumours about her wedding started surfacing online, Shruti Haasan took to her Instagram handle and wrote, "So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So, people who don’t know me at all, please calm down."

Soon after, her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika also shared a note that read, "You’ll need to calm down! We are not married. Individuals who don’t know us, please stop spreading rumors."

Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan recently featured in the film Salaar: Part 1: The Ceasefire starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prabhas.
