In her interview with Time, Taylor Swift addressed the dynamics of public and private relationships. She said, "When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other."

How did the romance begin?

The story of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship began with an unexpected twist – the NFL star "putting her on blast" on his podcast, a move the Midnights singer found "metal as hell." Following this podcast revelation, the two started hanging out, enjoying a significant amount of time away from the public eye. Opening up about the same, Swift expressed gratitude for this private period as it allowed them to genuinely get to know each other.

The singer revealed that Kelce's public admiration for her took a more "tangible form" when he attended The Eras Tour in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium, the very home of his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

She also debunked rumours surrounding their first date being a public spectacle at a Chiefs game, stating, "We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date." She clarified that by the time she attended that first game, they were already a couple.
