Kolkata Protests: Payal Mukherjee is in the headlines after the Bengali actress was allegedly attacked in her car while she drove down South Kolkata's Southern Avenue on August 23. The Bengali actress informed fans about the incident through Facebook Live. She alleged that miscreants riding a bike smashed her car window when she refused to pay heed to their request.

Payal Mukherjee reveals horrifying details about the attack

In the video, shared by Payal Mukherjee, she was seen crying bitterly and recounting how a bike rider attacked her car while she was seated inside. She said in the video that at the time of the incident, she was passing through South Avenue in Kolkata when suddenly a bike collided with her car. Then the bike rider asked her to roll down the window of the car, but keeping her safety in mind, she refused to do so. 

Following this, the bike rider got furious and broke the glass by punching it. Payal shared that after breaking the glass, the alleged attacker threw some white powder inside the car. She immediately informed the police about the incident, after which cops reached the spot and caught the bike rider.
