Emraan Hashmi Says Plastic Surgery Is 'Reality' Of Bollywood Years After Calling Aishwarya 'Plastic'

Emraan Hashmi often stays in the center of buzz due to his controversial statements. He often makes remarks about plastic surgery. Years after calling Aishwarya Rai ‘plastic’, Emraan Hashmi has once again weighed in on Bollywood celebrities choosing plastic surgery. Recently, the Tiger 3 star commented on the rumours about Rajkummar Rao undergoing plastic surgery, months after Rao had denied these claims.

When Emraan Hashmi called Aishwarya Rai plastic

In 2014, during a quick-fire round on a popular talk show, Emraan Hashmi called Aishwarya Rai 'plastic'. This comment sparked huge criticism against him. Emraan later admitted in interviews that he struggled to get movie roles because of his remark. 

However, he also revealed that he apologised to Aishwarya Rai and made several amendments.

Emraan On Plastic Surgery: Everyone wants to look like that poster boy

In a recent chat with Scoopwhoop, the Murder 2 actor was asked about his views on actors getting plastic surgery and the insecurities behind it. Emraan then requested the hosts to list the actors who had undergone surgery. When Rajkummar Rao’s name came up, Emraan covered his face and said "Yeah."

He stated, "It is a reality. I mean, the cosmetic business. Not just in the industry but it's a thing that they marketed pretty well. Everyone wants to look like that poster boy or girl and there's become this identity of what beauty is, right? And you want to mould yourself to that because that's what gets the love and you feel good about yourself. Coming to cosmetic surgery, I haven't gotten any, if you're thinking."

Rajkummar Rao faced public criticism and speculation after a photo of him from a recent event went viral, leading people to suggest that he had undergone plastic surgery.
