Ben Affleck Skips Wife Jennifer Lopez's Bridgerton Theme Birthday Celebration Amid Divorce Rumours

Reports of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez going through a rough patch in their marriage. The couple's disappearance from public, solo appearances and social media activity has hinted towards a turbulent relationship. Most recently, Ben gave his wife Jennifer's 55th birthday celebration a miss which is raising eyebrows.

Jennifer Lopez will turn 55 years old on July 24. Ahead of her big day, the actress-singer threw a brunch party for her friends and well-wishers in the Hamptons. The theme of the party was seemingly Bridgerton. While photos of the event have flooded social media, Ben's absence from the same has raised suspicion.  

The guests at Jennifer's party included her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez. She also hosted a party for her friends on Sunday and Ben did not attend that too. A source close to the couple told People magazine, that the actress got emotional during the celebration and narrated tales from her past. The couple were not together to celebrate their second marriage anniversary earlier this year. While they have never confirmed their divorce, their recent activities have fuelled rumours of their split. 

When Jennnifer Lopez shut down reports of her divorce 

Jennifer Lopez and Atlas co-star Simu Liu shut down a reporter at a press event for the film in Mexico City after he asked the actor whether rumours about her divorce from Ben Affleck were true. There have been reports that the actors, who rekindled their romance in 2021 after 20 years, are facing marital troubles. The reports come at a time when Lopez is busy promoting Atlas, which she has also produced. "OK, we're not doing that," Liu immediately told the reporter when he posed the question during the press tour.

Lopez looked at the reporter and said, "You know better than that". Affleck and Lopez met in 2002 but eventually split in 2004. Affleck went on to marry Jennifer Garner while Lopez married Marc Anthony.
