Dune: Part 2 character posters out; Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, Austin Butler prepare for war

Warner Bros has released new character posters for the upcoming movie Dune: Part Two. The sequel features many returning stars, as well as a few new faces.

Dune: Part 2 starring Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet in lead roles, will release in theatres on March 1, 2024. Originally slated for release on November 3, 2023, the film faced delays due to ongoing writers' and actors' strikes. Ahead of the film's release, the makers dropped character posters on Instagram.

Character posters hint at explosive twists

The character posters provide subtle clues about the roles and emotions of the characters. From Paul Atreides' determined leadership to Chani's warrior-like resolve, and the enigmatic expressions of longstanding characters like Baron Harkonnen, each poster offers a visual narrative of the characters' journeys. Notably, Rebecca Ferguson's poster hints at her character's transformation into a Reverend Mother.

Who is returning to Dune: Part 2?

The majority of the main cast from the first installment is set to reprise their roles in the sequel. Notable returnees include Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, and Rebecca Ferguson. The posters give us a closer look at these characters, portraying a spectrum of emotions that hint at the challenges awaiting them in Dune: Part 2.

Dune: Part 1 was released during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and made its delayed debut in North America in both theatres and on HBO Max on October 21, 2021.
