Dune: Part Two is confirmed to have a runtime of 166 minutes, making it Denis Villeneuve's longest film to date. Originally slated for a November release, the film's schedule was adjusted to March 15, 2024, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike preventing promotional activities. However, with the conclusion of the strikes, the release date was moved up to March 1.

The film's official synopsis, provided by Warner Bros. and Legendary, offers a glimpse into the narrative which read, "Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
