Jamie Lee Curtis Shades Marvel When Asked What ‘Phase’ They Are In
Jamie Lee Curtis took a scathing dig at the MCU amid Deadpool & Wolverine’s successful run at the box office.
Deadpool & Wolverine is finally out and is performing well at the box office. After few failures in 2023, Marvel finally hit the nail with the latest release and is looking forward to continue its dream run in the coming weeks. With several reactions to Deadpool & Wolverine, Jamie Lee Curtis recently gave an epic reply when asked what ‘phase’ MCU is in.
Jamie Lee Curtis’ feud with MCU
Jamie Lee Curtis mockery towards MCU has developed with a new twist. When the Freaky Friday actress was asked by MTV at San Diego Comic Con to name which phase MCU is in, Curtis responded with answer ‘Bad’. Later, the actress burst out into laughter.
This is not the first time Jamie Lee Curtis has shaded MCU. The Hollywood star ignited beef when she shared a post on Instagram, in which she called out the similarities between the posters of Everything Everywhere All At Once and Doctor Strange.
The caption read, “It is JUST me? Does it seem STRANGE that our tiny movie that could and did and continues to do #1movieinamerica and is TRULY MARVELOUS, out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there @eveyrthingeverywheremovie has a Marvel movie coming out with a copycat poster? Is this one of those Internet feuds? All I'll say is we would SLAY in a family feud contest @familyfeud with the Doctor Strange strangers. I MEAN WE HAVE”.
Despite all this, Jamie Lee Curtis later admitted that she would of course be interested in doing a movie with the studio if they wanted her.
What’s next for Jamie Lee Curtis?
Jamie Lee Curtis will next be seen in Borderlands. Directed by Eli Roth, the film will star Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black. Edgar Ramirez and Floran Munteanu among others.
She also has the sequel of Freaky Friday in the pipeline. The fantasy comedy film is based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel. Apart from Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolwsky, Lucille Song and Rosaling Chao will reprise their respective roles from the original film.
