Jeremy Renner to return to work for the first time since snowplow accident: It's happening

Jeremy Renner has spent his year recovering from a devastating accident that landed the actor in the ICU for an emergency surgery. Left with thirty broken bones and other significant injuries, Renner had previously revealed in an interview with Diane Sawyer how he had been "awake through every moment" of his ordeal. The actor appears to have now completed his journey of healing - case in point him indirectly confirming his return to filming soon.

Jeremy Renner confirms he will be returning to filming

The announcement per se, did not come from Renner directly. The actor however, did respond in the affirmative to a social media post shared by his costar Emma Laird. For the unversed, the two have shared screen space on thriller series Mayor of Kingstown, which is now onto its third season. 

Emma Laird took to her Instagram stories to share a camera grab of her and Renner shooting for their series, prior to the actor's accident. She captioned the photo "Back with my favourite guy next week @jeremyrenner" followed by a red heart emoticon. Renner shared the gesture to his own Instagram stories captioning it with a simple, "It's happening". For the unversed, Jeremy Renner plays the role of Mike McLusky on Mayor of Kingstown.

Mayor of Kingstown will be back with a third season

Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon's Mayor of Kingstown features Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, a mediator between criminals and law enforcement in the city of Kingstown. The show also features Emma Laird as Iris coupled with a supporting cast made up of Hugh Dillon, Yalor Handley, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley and Aidan Gillen.

Besides featuring in a prominent role in the show, Jeremy Renner is also the executive producer for the same. Though the show has received mixed responses critically, it has found much favour with the audience.
