Joey King reacts to Kissing Booth co-star Jacob Elordi’s ‘ridiculous’ comment about franchise

Jacob Elordi recently made headlines after the actor criticised his Kissing Booth movies by calling them “ridiculous.” In a recent media interaction, his co-star Joey King reacted to Elordi’s remark. The actress stated she had a great time working on the franchise. 

Joey King responds to Jacob Elordi’s Kissing Booth criticism 

In a conversation with Variety at the Balenciaga fashion show in Los Angeles, King addressed Elordi’s comment about Kissing Booth movies, “I think it’s unfortunate that anyone would feel that way. I had a great time making those movies no matter what anyone says.”

Another actor from the franchise, Taylor Zakhar Perez has also given his inputs on filming for Kissing Booth movie. The actor said at the Men of the Year party last month, “I thought it was a shame because to my knowledge, everybody else had such a wonderful experience.”

Perez continued, “It’s a shame that was his experience on the set. Especially when those movies came out, it was a time when we really needed something like that. I know from our fan interactions, getting stopped everywhere I go, what Kissing Booth means to people and what it brought them during such a dark time. I guess the silver lining is he still made people laugh and feel good.”

What did Jacob Elordi say? 

When Elordi criticized the movie in his GQ Men of the Year cover story, he let down both the actors who starred in the three The Kissing Booth movies and their fans. He said to the magazine, “I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies. Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.”
