Elvis Presley admirers, who didn't get to see him in person, are in for a treat with a new virtual reality show. More about Elvis Presley’s AI comeback

Layered Reality, the company behind the project, aims to recreate key events in Presley's life and musical journey. The show will take viewers on a journey from Tupelo, Mississippi, where Presley was born in 1935 to Memphis, Tennessee, home of Graceland, and Las Vegas. Layered Reality, in collaboration with Authentic Brands Group (owner of the Elvis Presley estate), has earned access to thousands of the star's personal photos and hours of home videos to craft these new performances using AI technology.

How did the creator of Elvis’ AI comeback address the developments?

Andrew McGuinness, the founder and CEO of Layered Reality, described the show as a "joyous celebration of Elvis’s life; the man, the music, and his cultural legacy." With global interest in Elvis Presley still strong 46 years after his passing at the age of 42, this innovative project aims to captivate both devoted fans and those eager to learn more about the legendary singer.

Elvis Evolution will debut in London and then travel to various cities, including Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin. McGuinness believes the show will resonate with audiences worldwide, thanks to its unique blend of cutting-edge technology and a nostalgic trip through the life of the iconic artist.

The venture comes on the heels of Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biography Elvis which garnered attention from a new generation of fans and Sofia Coppola’s 2023 film Priscilla which explored Elvis's intricate relationship with his wife. Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977.
