Marmalade, starring Stranger Things’ Joe Keery and Daisy Jones & the Six’ Camila Morrone, is debuting in theatres on February 9. Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the trailer of the film on Friday (January 5). Going by the trailer, the movie seems to be a heist film with a touch of romance.
Joe Keery-Camila Morrone's romance takes center stage in Marmalade trailer
In the trailer, Keery portrays a freshly imprisoned Baron who befriends his cellmate Otis (Aldis Hodge), a man with extensive experience breaking out of prison. Together, the two devise a plan of escape, and Baron tells the tale of how he first met the love of his life, Marmalade (Camila Morrone), and how they planned a bank heist in the vein of Bonnie and Clyde to take care of his sick mother and provide the couple with the life they had always imagined.

However, Baron's story is not over after the heist, viewers are given a peek into Baron's daily activities. Even though Marmalade seems ordinary at first, meeting her gives Baron some excitement, however, he soon discovers that there is more to her than he initially thought, and not always in a positive way.
With a final flourish, the tease of a deeper bond between Baron, Marmalade, and Otis attempts to live up to the trailer's billing as a suspenseful, crime-themed romance.
