Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas, who will be honoured with the Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award at the upcoming International Film Festival of India, recently shared a video message thanking the federation and Indian government for the honour.

Michael Douglas to arrive in India with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones
Speaking to ANI, Douglas stated that he will be coming to India along with his wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones to receive the honour. The Disclosure actor also added that he is also arriving to “honour a dear friend as it’s his 25th year anniversary in the film business”.
Michael Douglas has been one of the most popular Hollywood actors in the 80s and 90s, with films like Wall Street, Disclosure and The Game. Douglas’s father Kirk Douglas too was an iconic Hollywood actor in the 50s and 60s.

Yesterday, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur took to his X handle, (formerly Twitter), sharing the news of Michael Douglas being conferred with the honour at the festival. He further mentioned, “His deep love for our country is well known, and we look forward to welcome him, Catherine Zeta-Jones and their son, to the most prominent Film Festival in South Asia to showcase our rich cinematic culture and unique traditions at #IFFI54!! A heartfelt welcome to Bharat and @IFFIGoa.”

The 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is scheduled to be held from November 20 to 28 in Goa and will showcase the finest of contemporary and classic cinema from India and around the world.
