The show, starring Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, and Sofía Vergara among others, saw immense success before wrapping up in 2020. Even when the show ended, the cast remained as close as ever and is often spotted spending together. Recently, the entire cast reunited for a dinner party in Los Angeles. Ty Burrell skips Modern Family reunion 

The ensemble cast of Modern Family met for a dinner on Wednesday night. It was attended by Julie, Sofía, Sarah Hyland, Eric Stonestreet, Nolan Gould, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O'Neill, Ariel Winter, Rico Rodriguez, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. They were also joined by the show’s creator Steven Levitan.

While everyone was there, the occasion was skipped by Ty Burrell, who played the role of Phil Dunphy in Modern Family. The cast included him by adding his photo to the group picture.

The show follows the lives of Jay Pritchett and his family, including his second wife, stepson, and two adult children with their respective families. It is known for its mockumentary style and comedic portrayal of modern family dynamics.

Produced by Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd, Modern Family won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy and 22 Emmy Awards, including five for Outstanding Comedy Series. For her role as Claire, Bowen was awarded two Emmys, while Ferguson and Vergara, who had five and four nominations, respectively, never took home the trophy.
