Disney seems to be under fire after the release of the first trailer of the upcoming live-action remake of Snow White. The two lead actresses of the movie - Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot - which was released recently are facing backlash from fans.
Why fans are upset with the Snow White trailer?
Rachel Zegler who will be appearing as Snow White and Gal Gadot, who will feature as the Evil Queen, have garnered attention because of the difference in description of the story from the original lore. In the trailer, Rachel Zegler appears as Snow White with her signature bob hairstyle, surrounded by the 7 dwarfs. Zegler revealed that in this version, the famous Disney princess will not be saved by a prince but dreams of becoming a leader who is fearless, brave and loyal.
Some users have also pointed out that Gal Gadot, despite being 16 older than Zegler, looks better.
Some comments included, “Gal Gadot looks amazing as Queen”. Another read, “In my opinion, all the criticisms of this movie are completely reasonable.” “Honestly, the magic mirror has a problem not recognising Gal Gadot as the most beautiful. There is no reason for the Queen to be jealous of Snow White”, the third user read.
