Ahead of the highly anticipated Super Bowl 57 rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, local radio station Q102 has made a bold decision to ban Taylor Swift's music. The station's host, Nugget, declared the temporary boycott, citing the need to show unwavering support for the Philadelphia Eagles during this pivotal game, PEOPLE reported.

Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce sparks playful banter

The decision to sideline Taylor Swift's music is directly linked to her relationship with Chiefs' tight end, Travis Kelce. This playful rivalry has spilled beyond the radio waves, with iconic singer Patti LaBelle joining in on the banter. LaBelle, known for her powerful voice and wit, playfully urged Swift and her fans, the Swifties, to brace themselves for a Chiefs' defeat, affirming her belief in an Eagles' victory, PEOPLE reported.

"Q102 is punting Taylor Swift from the radio station for the entire weekend because while Q102 loves Taylor Swift, we can't get enough of her, this weekend it's really important we show our support for the Birds," said Q102 host Nugget in an interview with CBS News Philadelphia.

While Q102's ban on Taylor Swift's music is set to last throughout the weekend in solidarity with the Eagles, the station plans to reinstate her music after the game's outcome is revealed.
