Ryan Gosling is an action hero in The Fall Guy trailer
The trailer of The Fall Guy begins with Gosling's character pulling off a risky automobile stunt. His former girlfriend and the film's director, Jody (Emily Blunt), is first impressed before learning who the stunt performer is. This sets up a potential enemies-to-lovers plot before Colt is dragged into an undercover operation to find missing actor Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and begin the quest to save him.
Director David Leitch, known for helming projects like Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, is also a former stuntman. The Fall Guy is based on the 1980s TV series of the same name, which ran for 113 episodes from 1981 and 1986.
It included Heather Thomas as Jody, now portrayed by Blunt, and Lee Majors as Colt, a character currently carried by Gosling. The show followed Colt as he worked as a stuntman during the day and as a bounty hunter at night, using his auto-stunt expertise to apprehend crooks. Majors is scheduled to make an appearance in the movie.
