Matthew Perry Ketamine Connection: nearly 10 months after the passing of the FRIENDS star the LAPD investigation has been able to track down five suspects in the matter. On October 28 last year, the actor was found dead in the bathtub of his LA residence, seemingly from drowning. However, an autopsy report indicated that the actor had traces of Ketamine in his blood which made him unconscious that later led to the drowning. In the latest updates, five arrests - including a doctor and a as a drug dealer known to customers as the “Ketamine Queen", have been made in the case.

Ketamine Queen, Jasveen Sangha supplied Matthew Perry with $11,000 worth of drugs

As per AP News, prosecutors alleged Jasveen Sangha, whom they describe as a drug dealer known to customers as the “Ketamine Queen,” provided the doses of the drug that actually killed Perry, injected into the actor by Iwamasa with syringes supplied by Plasencia. Sangha also pleaded not guilty. Her attorney Alexandra Kazarian derided the “queen” moniker as made-for-media consumption during the hearing. The lawyer declined to comment on the case outside court.

The drug dealer has been reported to have sold “ approximately 50 vials of ketamine for approximately $11,000," as per reports. At the press conference, the law enforcement agents informed that Sangha had been exploiting the FRIENDS star by selling substantial quantities of ketamine to him in exchange for cash over a two-week plan.

Who is Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha?

The 41-year-old Jasveen Sangha is currently the prime interest in Matthew Perry's death case. She reportedly holds a dual citizenship. She is reportedly an Indian-origin woman who lives in California. As per The New York Post, Sangha has been involved in selling drugs since June 14, 2019. She continued to peddle the dangerous drugs until she was busted on March 19 for selling meth in a prior unrelated case. As per official records, a raid at Sangha's home uncovered 79 bottles of liquid ketamine and close to 2,000 meth pills.

As per AP News, Sangha could get life in prison if convicted as charged, and her co-defendant Plasencia could get up to 120 years. Each has a trial date in October, but it is highly unlikely any would be facing a jury by then, and the two may be tried together. They also could face testimony from the co-defendants who reached plea agreements. Magistrate Judge Alka Sagar ruled Sangha should be held without bond while awaiting trial, citing prosecutors’ contentions that she had destroyed evidence and funded a lavish lifestyle with drug sales even after Perry’s death. Los Angeles police said in May they were working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service with a probe into how Perry got the drug. His autopsy, released in December, found the amount of ketamine in his blood was in the range used for general anaesthesia during surgery.

Perry had years of struggles with addiction dating back to his time on, Friends, for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. Playing Chandler Bing, he became one of the biggest television stars of his generation alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
