Kaatera: Darshan starrer Kannada film creates record by crossing 1 crore mark in advance bookings

The Darshan led Kaatera is gearing up for its late December 2023 release. The last Kannada release of the year, the film has ensured that the Kannada film industry ends the year on a strong note. Ahead of its release, the film has crossed a threshold in terms of its advance bookings.

Kaatera creates record

The Darshan led action-adventure film, Kaatera, has created a new record ahead of its release. Kaatera has crossed the 1 crore threshold with its advance bookings. Its exact earnings from advance bookings stand at 1.4 crores. The film has managed to sell 60,000 tickets ahead of its December end release.

It is worth mentioning that Kaatera will not be releasing across multiple languages as a pan-India project. The film is being geared up for a release solely in the Kannada language. This makes its advance booking ticket sale numbers all the more formidable. During a press briefing for the film, Kaatera's director shared how producer Rockline Venkatesh was very happy with the film's final cut describing it as having exceeded his expectations. Directed by Tharun Sudhir, Kaatera, which stars Darshan, Jagapathi Babu and Aradhana Ram, will be releasing in theatres on December 29.

Darshan's year in review

Actor Darshan has had a fairly busy 2023. He kickstarted his year at the movies with action drama Kranti. Written and directed by V Harikrishna, the film starred Darshan in the role of Kranti Rayanna along side Rachita Ram and Ravichandran. The actor went on to make a cameo appearance in sports drama film Garadi, directed by Yogaraj Bhat.

As the actor gears up for the release of Kaatera, he is simultaneously filming for Raja Veera Madakari Nayaka which will be releasing in theatres next year.
