Kantara fame Rishab Shetty is coming back with a prequel titled Kantara: Chapter 1. Just like the first film, even prequel is written and directed by Rishab.

Rishab Shetty has finally unveiled the first look of his highly anticipated film Kantara: Chapter 1. The first look released today, November 27 at a historic temple in Kundapura, Karnataka. It serves as the prequel to the hit 2022 film Kantara. Helmed by Rishab himself, the film also stars Sapthami Gowda.
A look at Kantara Chapter 1 first poster
Rishab took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared the poster and captioned it as "Welcome back to the world of wonders of Kantara, here is the first look of the first chapter. Best wishes for this new journey." In the poster, we can see him standing in the middle of a circle holding Trishul and axe-like weapons in both his hands. He is looking upwards screaming at the people jumping down. He is sporting a raw look with blood all over his body.
The makers have also unveiled a motion poster which begins with the familiar roar, heard in the first film. Then, the narrator says, “Light. Everyone can see everything in light. But this is not light, this is vision. Vision of what has happened, what is happening and what is going to happen, the light that shows everything. Can you see it?” In the next frame, a person, sporting a chiselled body, is soaked in blood as he wears rudraksh and dons long hair and a beard. Holding a trishul in hand, the man looks up to show his face and fiery eyes.
More about Kantara Chapter 1
The prequel film is expected to trace back to the origins of the Panjurli Daiva, which is likely in the time period of 301-400 AD. Like the first film Kantara, the prequel is written and directed by Rishab Shetty.

The commencement will be kickstarted by a grand muhurat pooja, with the massive set being constructed for the film, where Rishab Shetty, producer Vijay Kiragandur, and the other cast and crew will be present. Following the ceremony, the makers will kick off the principal photography for the film in December, and the rest of the cast will be announced in due time.
