As Rakshit Shetty-starrer Saptha Sagaradaache Ello - Side B gears up for theatrical release, scheduled to hit the theatres on November 17, here are 7 things you need to know about the upcoming film as well as its predecessor Saptha Sagaradaache Ello - Side A.
Saptha Sagaradaache Ello was first written in 2006
- The films Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side B were shot together, even though the makers decided to release them in two parts (due to commercial diktats) and keep a sufficient gap between the release date of both parts.
- Hemanth M Rao, had first written a draft for this film way back in 2006, in collaboration with Gunda Shetty. While he received offers from other Southern industries for his script, Hemanth M. Rao waited for an opportunity to set and make this film in Karnataka.
- While the first part focuses on the poignant love story between Manu and Priya, the second part will introduce a fresh character, essayed by Chaitra J Achar.
- Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A had a theatrical release on September 1, and received wide critical acclaim. 3 years later, the makers released the Telugu dubbed version of their film, titled Sapta Sagaralu Dhati - Side A.
Saptha Sagaradaache Ello - Side B was earlier slated to release on October 27
- The film’s director Hemanth M Rao, besides working on several Kannada films, has also worked as a writer for Sriram Raghavan’s 2018 thriller Andhadhun.
- While this is the first Hemanth M Rao film Rakshit Shetty is produced, the Kirik Party actor-producer has also produced films like Humble Politician Nagraj, written by Rao.
- Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side B was earlier slated to release on October 27. However, the makers shared the new release date for their film by releasing a special poster featuring Rakshit Shetty's look in the film.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A largely focussed on the star-crossed relationship between Manu and Priya, with Manu going to prison and the couple struggling to stay together. The second part of this epic romance on focus on the couple's journey after Manu is released from the prison.
