EXO member DO parts ways with SM Entertainment after 12 years, addresses rumours about disbandment

Recently, JTBC revealed that EXO's D.O. had left SM Entertainment to join a new agency founded by his longtime manager.

D.O, an EXO member, has parted ways with his agency, SM Entertainment. The latest information comes days after speculations of Sehun and Chanyeol leaving the firm surfaced. While D.O. will continue his solo endeavours through his newly founded agency, Suho assured fans of impending group promotions.

EXO's D.O. leaves SM Entertainment after 12 years

Recently, JTBC revealed that EXO's D.O. had left SM Entertainment to join a new agency founded by his longtime manager. SM Entertainment released a statement confirming this. According to Soompi, the statement read, "D.O.'s exclusive contract with us will expire in early November." Following extensive conversations with D.O., it has been determined that he will continue his EXO operations with SM, but will pursue his acting and individual activities through the newly established agency launched by his and SM's old manager."

Recently JTBC reported about EXO's D.O. leaving SM Entertainment and joining a new agency formed by his longtime manager. Confirming the same, SM Entertainment issued a statement. It read, as per Soompi, "D.O.’s exclusive contract with us will expire in early November. Following thorough discussions with D.O., it has been decided that he will continue his EXO activities with SM, but will proceed with his acting and individual activities through the newly established agency founded by his and SM’s former manager."

Suho gives assurance to EXO fans

The announcement of D.O.'s exit from SM Entertainment frightened EXO's fans at first. Suho, one of the members, stepped forward to reassure all the fans. He wrote in Korean on a private messaging app, "No need to worry about EXO promotions. Suho will take full responsibility." EXO's members are Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. EXO debuted in 2012 under SM Entertainment after being created in 2011.
