Squid Game Star Lee Jung Jae Accused Of Fraud By Drama Company RaemongRaein

Seems like trouble is brewing for South Korean actor Lee Jung Jae. The Squid Game star is embroiled in a complex legal battle with a drama company for fraud and other unfulfilled promises.

Why Lee Jung Jae is being sued?

According to reports, a complaint has been filed against Lee Jung Jae and Park In Kyu, a former CEO of WYSIWYG Studios, under the specific Economic Crimes Act. The complaint was reportedly lodged by Kim Dong Rae, CEO of a drama production company named RaemongRaein.

As per him, the duo have misled him into that their involvement as major shareholders would greatly benefit his company’s growth. Acting on this belief, Kim transferred his shares to them. However, he now alleges that after acquiring the shares, Lee and Park attempted to push him out of the company’s management.

Moreover, Kim has also accused them of focusing solely on acquiring another listed company, Chorokbaem Media, using 20 billion won in cash from RaemongRaein

Lee Jung Jae countersues Kim Dong Rae

In response to these accusations, Lee Jung Jae has countersued Kim for making false accusations and fraud.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing and both sides are to be questioned by the police soon. The case has garnered much attention due to Lee Jung Jae’s worldwide popularity.
