Is Mohanlal's Neru going to affect Prabhas' Salaar? Prithviraj Sukumaran’s wife Supriya answers

With four big movies arriving in theatres this week, it's a treat time for all cinemagoers. The Christmas weekend has movies like Neru, Salaar, Aquaman and Dunki enjoying a massive footfall. Where Dunki is ruling the north belt, the south belt is facing a screen clash between the Mohanlal starrer and Prabhas’ actioner.

Supriya Menon on Salaar Vs Neru

Salaar actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s wife Supriya Menon was recently at a press event where she was asked if the positive reception of Neru will hamper her husband’s movie. After the Salaar screening, Supriya playfully quipped, "Why would Neru's positive reviews affect Salaar? Audiences will watch every type of movie."

Supriya further said that if someone likes Salaar, they might also like Neru. She suggested people choose the movies they like. Supriya revealed that she hasn't seen Neru but she's glad to hear that people are receiving the movie well especially because it involves her own film family, like Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph.

Asked about the highly-anticipated Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal's Empuraan, Supriya avoided the question and simply said, "I came here to watch Salaar as a regular audience member."

Despite having promising pre-sales, Salaar opened to not so good reviews in the Kerala belt. However, the movie managed to earn a massive amount of Rs 95 crores on its opening day. Mohanlal starrer Neru on the other hand has so far grossed Rs 11.4 crores globally. 

Supriya Menon's thoughts on Salaar

Recently taking to Instagram, Supriya shared a picture with Prithviraj and wrote, “What an absolute joy it was to watch Salaar! Stellar performances all around and amazing music, art direction and cinematography to boot! Take a bow Prashanth Neel Sir, it is your world and we are just living in it! And @actorprabhas garu, what a wow!! Please I kindly request you to go watch the film in theatres near you!"
