Mammotty starrer Bramayugam eyeing for a February 2024 release?

Malayalam acting legend Mammootty has had a very eventful year. The 71 year actor appeared in a total of 5 movies this year, out of which at least 3 were major successes. While the thriller-drama Kannur Squad and his recent release Kaathal: The Core were big box office hits, his first film of the year Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam surprised everyone, including Mammootty who played a everyday man with disarming ease, winning all the accolades and audience’s praise.

Mammootty teams up with Bhoothakulam director

Now Mammootty seems all geared up to surprise his audience yet again with his upcoming film Bramayugam. Earlier, in September, the actor had taken every aback by sharing his first look poster from the film, which featured Mammootty in a rustic, and daunting look sporting a lean physique, impressively taut for his age. Now reports are coming in about the film’s release plan - if media reports are to be believed, Brahmayugam is all set to release in February 2024.

For Bramayugam, Mammootty is collaborating with filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan who had earlier won a lot of acclaim for his horror movie Bhoothakaalam.

Bramayugam also featurs Arjun Ashokan, Jisshu Sengupta

Bramayugam also boasts of an impressive technical team behind the camera, with Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal helming the camerawork, while veteran editor Shafique Mohammed Ali in charge of the editing process. Christo Xavier has been additionally signed to compose the film score. 

Apart from Mammootty in the lead role, Bramayugam also reportedly features actors like Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz and Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta who has been very active in South Indian movies in last few years.

Now it remains to be seen whether Bramayugam makers share any updates about a release plan for the much-awaited horror-thriller which promises to show Mammootty in an unprecedented avatar.
