Jayasurya, who was been accused of rape by a female colleague from Aluva, has called himself a "living martyr". The Malayalam actor was interrogated by Kerala police on Tuesday, October 15. He was summoned to report at 10 AM to the Cantonment police station in Thiruvananthapuram for questioning.

Jayasurya calls the rape case 'fabricated'

According to OnManorama, Jayasurya, during the interrogation, said he has been framed in a false rape case and doesn't even need anticipatory bail. "I completely deny the allegations. This is a fabricated case. I don't even need anticipatory bail. It's alarming that people are making such false accusations against anyone. At least I have a platform to make my case. Many others don't have this. It could destabilize many families," he added.

Jayasurya faces charges of sexual misconduct in two separate cases.

On Monday, September 23, the state High Court closed the anticipatory bail applications moved by an actor in connection with sexual abuse allegations made against him last month as the offences are available. Looking into the two bail applications filed by Jayasurya, it pointed out that the offences alleged against the actor were bailable offences.
