Male Actor Accuses Ranjith Of Forcing Him To 'Strip Naked', Files Complaint

The past few days witnessed several female artists coming forward alleging prominent figures of Mollywood of sexual misconduct. However, a new development reveals a young male artist has also faced a similar situation. The development has emerged in connection with filmmaker Ranjith, who is already facing charges of sexual misconduct by Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra.

Young male actor accuses Ranjith of forcing him to step naked

According to a report in ANI, a young male artist has filed a complaint against National Film Awardee Ranjith that he forced him to strip naked and sexually assaulted him in 2012. Ranjith reportedly invited the victim to a hotel in Bengaluru for an audition and allegedly sexually assaulted him. The complaint said that he thought it was a part of the audition, ANI reported the Kerala police say.

The Indian Rupee filmmaker reportedly assaulted him sexually and the next day morning he offered money to the victim. The actor has filed a complaint to the DGP and SIT will consider it.

Young male actor's naked photos were sent to Revathi?-

In an interview with The Week, the male actor claimed that Ranjith filmed him naked and reportedly sent photos to actress and Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) member Revathi. "When Ranjith told me to stand naked, he was talking to an actress. I have already revealed the name of that actress—Revathi. Ranjith told me it was Revathi. I don't know if there is any relationship between Ranjith and Revathi, but Ranjith took my photos and sent them to her," the actor said, adding, "When I asked who the photos were being sent to, Ranjith said they were sent to Revathi, adding that she liked what she saw. This incident happened during the location pack-up of the movie Bavuttiyude Namathil. The director was present there in connection with the audio launch of the movie or some other related event," the male actor was quoted saying.
