Tiger Shroff's Career In Dire Straits? Film Reportedly Shelved Due To High Fees, Entourage Cost
Tiger Shroff was last seen in the film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar. The movie underperformed at the box office and was declared a flop.
Tiger Shroff's Movie Shelved: The actor was last seen in the action movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which failed to leave its mark on the audience. The film also featured Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhilar and Alaya F and hit the big screens on the Eid holiday. However following the underperformance of the movie, insiders claimed that the makers have incurred massive losses. New reports are now claiming that this has affected the release of his upcoming film Hero No 1 which is also produced by Pooja Entertainment.
Tiger Shroff's new movie shelved?
As per several reports, Tiger Shroff was reported to star next in the film titled Hero No 1 which is directed by Mission Mangal fame - Jagan Shakti. Like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, this film too is produced by Pooja Entertainment headed by Vashu Bhagnani. The film is also expected to be a high-budget action.
A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama that 20% of the filming was complete. However, the box office numbers of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan impacted the release of Hero No. 1. The source in the know informed the publication as reported by Pinkvilla, “They are in a huge debt and are not in a position to put money to shoot Hero No. 1. Hence, it’s as good as being shelved." Hero No. 1 was also scheduled to feature Tiger Shroff's rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani and Hrithik Roshan's niece Pashmina Roshan. The shooting plan for the film included an international setup in Europe. A post shared on the Bolly Blinds and Gossip thread on Reddit reported that the reason for the film to be shelved is the actor's high fees and entourage cost.
Salaries of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan cast not been paid yet?
Sources close to the development of the movie have claimed that the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan cast members are yet to be paid their dues. The insider shared that the actors have requested an update on their pending remuneration but no information has been provided to them yet. They have also shared that the actors even promoted the movie as per contract, yet they have not received their pay.
A source told media publication, “Tiger Shroff too has not received his fees for the film. He has maintained his silence on the non-payment of his dues for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan but after learning that the crew and the support staff, who gave the film their all, have also not been paid, he wants the production house to clear the dues immediately.” The insider added that actors like Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha and Manushi Chillar have also not been paid yet and no information has been given to them despite several inquiries. The source further mentioned, “None of these actors on the film have received their dues either. They completed their work on the film and even after requesting them a few times, there was no reply. They also promoted the film because they didn’t want to leave the film hanging, but there was no payment made.”
