National Cinema Day 2024: Yudhra, Tumbbad, Stree 2, Transformers One - 21 Movies To Watch At ₹99
4000 screens are participating in National Cinema Day on September 20. As many as 21 new and old movies are available for viewing on the big screens.
National Cinema Day is being held on September 20 this year. Cinephiles will be charged only ₹99 per admission at theatres across the country. Cinema halls, including PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movie Time and Delite, have teamed up to show films in over 4,000 participating screens for the event. Yudhra to Stree 2: New and old movies can be watched at a nominal price
The available line-up of films on National Cinema Day is a mix of blockbusters, anticipated sequels, and timeless classics. It includes new releases Yudhra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal and Malvika Mohanan, romantic comedy Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam, starring Dhvani Bhanushali and Aashim Gulati, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Swapnil Joshi's Navra Maza Navsacha - 2, Sucha Soorma featuring Babbu Mann, Hollywood movies Never Let Go and Transformers One as well as last week's offerings The Buckingham Murders and Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di.
Watch Stree 2 and Tumbbad at ₹99
Stree 2, which is going strong at the box office since its August 15 release, is also up for screenings at ₹99 on National Cinema Day. Re-releases Tumbbad (2018) and Veer Zaara (2004) can also be watched at the said price.
"This special occasion brings audiences of all ages together for a day of cinematic bliss, celebrating the incredible success of multiple films at the box office this year. It's a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the moviegoers who contributed to this success and an open invitation to those who haven't yet returned to their local cinema," the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) said in a statement. This would be the third edition of the National Cinema Day, whose previous two editions saw a record number of over 6 million admissions, it added.
ANR movie marathon at just ₹99
Annapurna Studios, in partnership with the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR Inox, is commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) with a special re-release of 10 of his classic films. From September 20 to 22, seven of these films will be screened for free in select theatres across cities including Vizag, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bhimavaram, and Hyderabad. Devadasu, Maya Bazar, Bharya Bharthalu, Sudigundaalu, Doctor Chakravarthy, Prem Nagar, Premabhishekam, and Manam are the films that are made available for free for the audience. Other movies will be available for screening at ₹99.
