Actor Alan Ritchson returns for Reacher Season 2 in the role of Jack Reacher. The show is inspired by Lee Child’s eleventh book from his best-selling series, Bad luck and Trouble. Lee is also an executive producer of the series. Recently, in a conversation with PTI, Alan compared the show to a modern-day Western. Elaborating on the same, he said that his protagonist is all about swift justice and that appeals to viewers who resonate with his quest "to do the right thing".

"Justice bleeds into vengeance for Reacher. So I think there's a lot of colour in between the black and white as to how he sees the world. It's like a modern-day Western, he's judge, jury and executioner,” Alan said.

Giving his two bits, Alan mentioned that “it is a bit of wish fulfillment where we get to escape to a world where Reacher makes that a reality. And I think that's what makes it fun for people.” Beside Alan, the series also stars Maria Sten, Sarinda Swan, Shaun Sipos, Ferdinand Kingley, Robert Patrick and Domenick Lombardozzi in key roles.

All about season 2

Lee spoke about the show and mentioned that the characters act as a proxy for those who want to see justice in real life. "I think what it is with Reacher that chimes in not only with actors and readers, but really all people, is that like all of us, he wants to do the right thing. But in real life, of course, we can't because maybe we're physically incapable or intimidated or inhibited, or maybe it's a work problem where you're going to get fired if you make a fuss about something,” he said. This season of the show will show Reacher being brought out of limbo with a coded message. The season promises to deliver on tempo and thrill much like its first season. It also promises a healthy mix of familiar and new faces.
