Bigg Boss OTT 3: Ranvir Shorey Calls Breakup With Pooja Bhatt ‘Biggest Scandal’ Of His Life

Ranvir Shorey is one of the most talked about contestants in the Bigg Boss OTT house. The actor is partaking in the third season of the OTT version of the reality show. In the latest episode, he spoke about his past and chronicled the tough phase when his mother was unwell and he was also going through a breakup.  

Ranvir Shorey recalls split with Pooja Bhatt 

In the latest episode of the reality show, actor Ranvir Shorey could be heard discussing his initial struggles with a fellow contestant. The actor took a walk down memory lane and recalled the time he was shooting for the film Lakshaya in Ladakh in 2002 when he was informed of his mother’s ill health. Despite the critical situation, he could not leave the shoot and return home. He also recalled being involved in the ‘biggest scandal’ of his life at the same time. 

Without naming anyone in particular, Ranvir shared, “During the same time, I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. As I was unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the US and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for The Great Indian Comedy Show in 2005.” He added, “At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theatres back-to-back within a week and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived.” 

A look back at Ranvir Shorey and Pooja Bhatt’s relationship

For the uninitiated, Ranvir Shorey and Pooja Bhatt were good friends before they started dating. The actors eventually moved into an apartment together. However, their relationship came to an end and they parted ways in an ugly separation. Pooja alleged that Ranvir would physically and verbally abuse her in an inebriated condition, while the latter denied the same.

In 2010, Ranvir got married to actress Konkona Sen Sharma and the two welcomed their son Haroon in 2011. They parted ways in 2015. Pooja, too got married to Manish Makhija in 2003 but ended up taking a divorce in 2014.
