Barbie on OTT: When and where to watch Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling starrer for free in India

Barbie emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2023, followed closely by The Super Mario Bros. The over-billion-dollar grossing movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is now available for streaming in India for free. Earlier, the movie was available for rent on Prime Video, but now the Hollywood hit is streaming on OTT for no cost.

Barbie debuts on another OTT platform

While the Greta Gerwig directorial was earlier made available for rent on Prime Video for ₹149 Jio Cinemas has now made the film available to its subscribers for free. Viewers who have subscribed to the OTT service can watch Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling's journey from the plastic world to the real world and back for free from December 21.

What is Barbie about? Is there a Barbie sequel in the works?

Although it has grossed USD 1.4 billion worldwide, a sequel for Barbie has not been officially greenlit by Warner Bros. It's said that director Greta Gerwig and stars Margot Robbie as well as Ryan Gosling are not contractually obligated to return for a Barbie 2 and the Hollywood strikes only complicate matters for the studio.

The first film followed the story of Robbie as Barbie who has an existential crisis and escapes to the real world with Ken (Ryan Gosling) only to find out that the real world is not for them. They return to the world of plastic and settle down among their own. The movie is a frontrunner at the awards season and is predicted to sweep the Oscars. The Christopher Nolan directorial Oppenheimer is one of the main contenders in the awards season against Barbie.
