UPDATE | Nani and Mrunal Thakur's Hi Nanna has made its OTT debut on Netflix. Taking to its official Instagram handle, Netflix wrote, “Your invitation to witness Nanna, Mahi and Yashna’s story filled with love and magic is here.” For the unversed, the story traces the journey of a single father, played by Nani.
Nani has just recently seen through the release of his last film for 2023 - Hi Nanna. The early December release, helmed by debutant director Shouryuv, was well received by audiences, particularly in the overseas market.

Hi Nanna locks its OTT release date?
The makers of Hi Nanna have reportedly locked the date for its digital debut in congruence with a major streaming platform. As per an OTT Play report, the film's digital streaming rights have been sold to streaming giant Netflix. The tentative date for Hi Nanna's digital debut has been set as January 4.

Hi Nanna had a slow start at the box office
Hi Nanna hit theatres on December 7. The family drama opened in theatres managing to rake in just about ₹5 crores across Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. However, critically, the film received encouraging reviews enabling word of mouth to help the film's theatrical run pick up steam.
The film has been running in theatres for the past three weeks with it collective domestic earnings coming up to an impressive ₹ 54.5 crores. The film has also performed well overseas, particularly the United States - where Telugu cinema happens to have a strong fan base - having earned ₹ 18.5 crores.
