The makers of upcoming OTT movie Mast Mein Rehne Ka released their official trailer earlier today. The show, starring Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta in the lead roles, is set against the bustling city of Mumbai and promises to capture many of its myriad facets.
Jackie Shroff plays a reserved old man in the film
The trailer begins from the perspective of Kamath (played by Jackie Shroff), a reserved introverted old Maharashtrian man who has been advised to socialise more. We then briefly follow his journey as Kamath’s paths cross with Mrs. Handa, a quintessential Punjabi who wears the stereotypes of her cultural background on her sleeves. The equation between two begins on an odd note. However, the trailer promises to show the eventual blossoming of a warm relationship between the two.
Besides Shroff and Gupta, Mast Mein Rehne Ka also features Jamtara fame Monica Panwar and Abhishek Chauhan. Panwar and Chauhan seem to be playing a couple of unprivileged underdogs of the society who nonetheless have ambitions to rise up in life against odds.
Mast Mein Rehne Ka is slated to release on December 8
The trailer briefly gives us a glimpse of how the old age couple ends up interacting with the said underprivileged couple, but builds enough curiosity around the same. The show also features a surprising appearance by Rakhi Sawant who is return to acting after many years.
